American actor, former military person, and martial arts practitioner Chuck Norris were born on March 10, 1940, in Ryan, Oklahoma, United States of America. Norris is currently age 79; however, because of daily exercise and a healthy lifestyle, Norris has maintained his physical appearance and does not look like someone in their late 70s.

Chuck was born to parents, father Ray Norris and mother, Wilma Norris. His father was a mechanic and automobile driver as he drove buses and trucks for supporting his family. His father also served in World War II as an Army Soldier. Both his parents hailed from different ancestry, and as Norris claimed, he has a mixture of Irish and Cherokee.

Chuck has two brothers in total named Wieland and Aaron. Unfortunately, Chuck lost his brother Wieland who was killed in Vietnam way. While growing up, Chuck faced a lot of adversities and traumas. His parents decided to split and get divorced when he was just 16 years old. This affected him a lot like a growing kid.

Chuck Norris Personal Life

As cliché as it sounds, Chuck Norris is also a hopeless romantic. When he went to high school, he fell in love with a woman named Dianne Kay Holechek and altogether knew that she was the one for him. The couple married right after high school when Chuck was 18, and Dianne was just 17 years old.

Dianne always believed that Chuck was destined to do great things and believed in him no matter what other people said. Chuck and Dianne welcomed their first child together in 1962. His name is Mike. Later, after a year, Chuck welcomed a son from his affair with another woman. This caused a surge between the couple, but they remained together.

In 1964, Chuck and Dianne welcomed another son together, and his name is Eric. Unfortunately, Norris and Dianne divorced each other after 30 years. After about ten years, Chuck married a model named Gena O’Kelley in 1998. Chuck and Gena welcomed twins in 2001.

Chuck Norris Military Career

After high school, Chuck decided to join the military but ended up joining the United States Air Force as an Air Policeman. In 1958, he joined the force, and then the officials located him in Osan Air Base in South Korea. While his time there, he started learning Tang Soo Do and finally found something that he could excel in.

After much training, he managed to get a black belt and also founded the Chun Kuk Do, a universal way form. Upon returning to the States and completing his responsibilities in the Air Force for some time as an Air Policeman, the force discharged him in 1962. After his departure from the army, Chuck decided to pursue a career in martial arts.

A career in Martial Arts

When his military career ended, Norris became determined to pursue one in martial arts. He started going to championships but in the very beginning lost several matches because he was not as experienced as his opponents. But still, Chuck did not lose any hope and continued with his training and determination to win.

After several attempts, Norris started to win competitions and matches. He won the Professional Middleweight Karate Champion title for six years regularly and also won the triple crown in Karate for most tournament wins in a year. All these achievements led his friendship with Bruce Lee, who offered the two train together.

Movie Career

In 1969, Norris appeared in The Wrecking Crew making his debut in the film industry. A couple of years later, Norris starred in a movie named Way of the Dragon portraying the role of a Villain against Bruce Lee. The movie became such a hit it broke the record of the year and became the highest grossing movie in Hong-Kong.

After much suggestions, Norris started to study acting at MGM. From there he started appearing in other movies like Yellow Faced Tiger, Breaker!
