Honestly, an awful film, which manages to make Hostel II look good. Compared with this, Vacancy was a minor classic, and in fact it has all the suspense that this one lacks. Avoid, avoid, avoid. As for the ending, I had long stopped bothering by that point, so I missed the bit where it picked up a little. Despite this, I can't see myself returning to it. 4.5/10 is generous!

It seems to afflict almost all superhero movies as sequels pile up (villain number seems to be some sort of multiplication of the sequel number - there's an equation in there somewhere). That's one of the things that originally brought the Batman films down (apart from Joel Schumacher that is...) Glad you appreciate Batman Returns too.
