Given the all too common tendency of Hollywood to play it safe these days these assets are to be savioured. If you don't get film-makers going out of their way to be edgy on occasions then film-making all too easily stagnates. Find it funny and you'll love it, find it offensive and you'll hate the sight of it. I fall into the former camp of course, but you have to acknowledge the subjectivity of humour either way. It wears its bad tatse like a badge of honour, and hammers you about the head with it in the most least amusing ways, like they consulted a think tank on what could actually, legally still be defined "humour" but not actually be funny.
