					<description>You're right in a sense, but I don't think it's reasonably possible to simply classify pre-CGI work as having soul and post-CGI as being soulless, as some would like to. There is some beautiful work from bygone eras, as exemplified above, but there's also some terrible work (see the &lt;em&gt;Spiderman&lt;/em&gt; cartoons I mention). By contrast there is some wonderful work executed nowadays by the likes of Pixar, they're just utilising a different tool. The 'soul' is more evident in the drawn material because it's been constructed by hand, but that doesn't mean it's absent when somebody is using a computer to help create images [I'd very much like to think that I put in a portion of my soul in the last few CGI films I've created for example! :) ], but it does seem less personal in some way I'd agree.
