I have to agree that the effects - apart from some obvious prosthetics, false heads, etc - haven't dated too badly at all. The bugs look fantastic, and if Casper Van Diem could actually act, his relationship with the beautiful Dina Meyer would have real poignancy. Highly recommended. I haven't seen the follow-up, but assume it's a cheap knock off affair. Any comment you can offer on this..? By chance, I watched this again last night.
