I'm looking forward to the 1925 Hur, Primus, and the trailer is a delight of hype - 'Never before have you seen 150,000 people on the screen!'

The one good thing about being strapped, Jackal, is less nights on the pop, and less chance of a surf around the online stores, credit card burning in my hand. That's the idea, at any rate.

Nice to know I'm not the only one having to tighten the belt at the moment...! Looks like you've got plenty to keep you going Mike. I also got the Ben-Hur box set from Amazon. The Chuck Heston version is very entertaining, if you've got along afternoon to while away. What surprised me was how good the silent 1925 version was: it's still great stuff, especially with the recent Carl Davis score they included. Watch that first before the Heston version, it's worth it.

"... the drunken trips to Amazon or Play.com – I’m sure I’m not the only one here who has coughed up thirty quid after a sustained session, and regretted it a little the following day."

Too true. I've banned myself from surfing the net while intoxicated now - I end up buying boxsets that'll just sit on the shelf for months.
