Shallow jackal March 3, 2007
Posted by jackal in : Films , add a commentHere at jackal’s film corner I marked the 90th birthday of one of my favourite actors, Kirk Douglas, a couple of months ago. And so it’s only fair that I do the same for one of my favourite actresses. Thankfully she isn’t 90.
You’re not convinced by my carefully planned reasoning for today’s post? Neither am I, so I’ll skip the part where I pretend that I’m not utterly shallow, and get right to it. Jessica Biel, star of such cinematic gems as The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003), Stealth, Blade: Trinity and The Illusionist (which actually wasn’t bad …) turns 25 today, a full 3 months ahead of yours truly. She may not exactly be a potential future Oscar winner (at least they let her present one last Sunday), but what can I say: ever since her pumped-up Abigail Whistler in the otherwise dreadful third Blade, I’ve been a fan. She’s gorgeous and knows her way around the free weights? We need some girls like her at my gym …
Pointless text over; this post is no good without pictures.

I really can’t recall why I enjoyed The Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake. Oh, wait …

and as Abigail Whistler in Blade: Trinity …
